Valentine Woodard and his late wife Kathleen (known as Sis) moved to this area in 1945 to run the Bradley Oak. He now lives with his daughter Sue at Myrobella, Thurlow Green. Val is retired from running the family garage in Stradishall, whilst Sue works for Grampian Foods, where she says "there have been many changes".

Sue owns a horse which she enjoys riding round the villages now that she no longer competes in shows. Val enjoys his armchair, watching T.V. and giving tit-bits to his dogs. They both enjoy living in a peaceful, pretty village where they have seen some changes, mainly the building of new houses. They feel very fortunate to live here.
