Patricia Cook has lived at 1 Broad Road, Lt. Thurlow Green for fifteen years. Just recently her daughter Valerie Duck with husband James Duck and son James Duck have moved in and the house is being extended. It's called "Llamedos" (a palindrone!) and Pat will occupy the granny annexe. She is retired, her daughter is a laboratory technician at Babraham and her son-in-law a manager of Technique Labels in Haverhill. James junior attends Samuel Ward school in Haverhill, plays cricket for Thurlow and enjoys watching Spurs football team (as does James senior). The family like visiting the local pub "The Cock Inn" and playing cribbage there. Pat enjoys swimming, shopping and travelling and is a keen supporter of the mobile library. She was a poppy collector for five years.

In their short time here the younger family have noticed how friendly and helpful the people are.
